CAST INFOMATION

Elsa (F, 20-30) - The reluctant queen-to-be who has a terrible time trying to control her emotions. Her emotions can take her in any direction at any time. Excellent singer, good dancer, physical comedy, must be comfortable improvising

Anna (F, 18-30) - Charismatic, friendly, dreams of being a tv talk show host. Excellent singer, good dancer, improv skills a plus

Burr (any gender, any age over 16) - The Alpha of Jack Frost’s sidekicks, willing to do what it takes to get Jack the power he deserves. High energy, good singer, great physical comedy, moves well, dance skills a plus

Shiver (any gender, any age over 16) - The Beta of Jack Frost’s sidekicks, is often a step behind but is always willing to rally. High energy, good singer, great physical comedy, moves well, dance skills a plus

Kristoff Knedlik (M, 18-35) - Great grandson of the inventor of the slurpee drink, he proudly carries on the family business. Fiercely loyal, considered odd by those who don’t know him. Great singer, moves well, dance skills a bonus

Carsven Kressley (M or any, any age over 18) - Kristoff’s bestie who suddenly finds his voice when Anna interviews him. A flashy, colourful style guru with a bit of an adult sense of humour. Great comedic timing a must, good singer, dance skills a bonus

Wilson (any gender, any age over 14) - Comes to life when Anna finds them, is built of volleyballs. Loves hugs, has dreams of making it to the olympics. Great comedic timing, good physical comedy, a good singer, moves well

Sneezeleton (any gender, any age over 30) - The allergy-riddled mayor of the neighbouring kingdom who would love to make a mega-kingdom by taking over Oakdale. Great physical comedy, good singer, moves well

Adele Dazeem (F, 20-40) - The eccentric cousin of Elsa and Anna who is just always around. Sometimes drops wisdom bombs, sometimes just states the obvious, always ends with the famous Wicked riff. Good comedic timing, great singer, good dancer

Royal Advisor (any gender, any age) - Likely the most sane person in all of Oakdale, chief problem-solver, often is the reason things work out but is never recognized for it. Good singer, moves well

Grand Bouldah (Any gender, any age over 40) - Recognized as the leader of the rocks, wise (mostly), a healer. Good singer, moves well, dance skills a bonus; will double in ensemble roles

Grand Granite (Any gender, any age over 40) - Married to the leader of the rocks, corrects Grand Boulder’s mistakes without missing a beat. Good singer, moves well, dance skills a bonus; will double in ensemble roles

King (M, any age over 40) - Father of Elsa and Anna, blissfully unaware, an eternal optimist. Good singer, moves well, good comedic timing; will double in ensemble roles

Queen (F, any age over 40) - Mother of Elsa and Anna, high expectations, complains about nearly everything. Good singer, moves well, good comedic timing; will double in ensemble roles

Anger, Joy, Disgust, Sadness, Fear (all genders, all ages) - These characters all exist completely in the emotion they are named for. They bid for control over Elsa and compete for the audience’s love. Must be comfortable interacting with audience, good singers, move well

Young Anna (F, 7-12) - The young version of our charismatic and playful Anna. Will appear in the opening with some solo singing and then will become part of the youth ensemble.

Ensemble (all genders aged 13+) - Will play a variety of roles throughout the show. If you have any special skills (juggling, tumbling, quick change, etc), please mention on audition form; dance skills a bonus

Youth ensemble (all genders, aged 7-12) - Will play Frosties (bad guy groupies), Trolls, and possibly some other roles. Good dancers. If you have any special skills (juggling, tumbling, etc), please mention on audition form

PREPARATION INFORMATON

Rehearsals: beginning October 2, running Wed, Thurs evenings and Sunday afternoons (*the first 2 weeks of Oct rehearsals will be Wed, Fri, Sat)

Audition/rehearsal Location: BOTG Studio - 1200 Speers Rd, Unit 7, Oakville

Tech/Performances (Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts: Dec 17- 22, 27, 28 *please note there will be a weekday matinee on Dec 27

Audition information: Sides will be provided approx 5 days before your audition. Please prepare one up-tempo pop or musical theatre song with a track.

SYNOPSIS

The Kingdom of Oakdelle is crowning a new queen only she holds a secret power. The power of winter magic. The incredibly jealous and frosty baddie Jack wants to be the one and only king of winter and will be a snowball out of control to get his way. Come cheer on the two sisters and their goofy snow friends as they try and save Oakdelle from the icy hands of Jack Frost.
