CAST INFOMATION

SYNOPSIS: A sunny room on an upper floor is prime real estate in the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility, so when the cantankerous Abby is forced to share her quarters with new-arrival Marilyn, she has no choice but to get rid of the infuriatingly chipper woman by any means necessary. A seemingly harmless bet between the old women quickly escalates into a dangerous game of one-upmanship that reveals not just the tenacity of these worthy opponents, but also deeper truths that each would rather remain hidden.

CHARACTERS: Character ages are approximate, and all ethnicities are welcome. Accents are NOT required for any character.

PREPARATION INFORMATON
PREPARATION: Auditionees must read the play. A copy of the script will be made available upon request. The first audition will involve a cold read from the script. The sides will be provided at the audition, not before. Early arrival is encouraged. If called back, you will be reading sides from the script with a scene partner(s).
 
TO BOOK AN AUDITION: Please email a copy of your headshot and resume to villageplayersauditions@gmail.com with your preferred date, time, interested role(s), and contact information. Once we receive and confirm your details, we will give you a day and time for your audition. We are non-union, non-paying, and are unable to cast equity or ACTRA members. 
 
REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE: Rehearsals will begin with a first read-through on Sunday, October 20 and will continue until Thursday, December 19 after which there will be a one-week break over Christmas. Rehearsals will resume Friday, December 27, Sunday, December 29, and Thursday, January 2.
 
Actors must be available for all of Tech Sunday, January 5, and for Tech Week evenings of Monday, January 6, through Thursday, January 9's preview performance, and for all 14 performances:
  • Friday, January 10 - Saturday, January 11 (Saturday is a matinée)
  • Wednesday, January 15 - Sunday, January 19 (Sunday is a matinée)
  • Thursday, January 23 - Sunday, January 26 (Sunday is a matinée)
  • Thursday, January 30 - Saturday, February 1
